Archer’s Gold’ Lemon Creeping Thyme is a versatile variety. This hardy perennial readily spreads to form a low-growing mat of bright gold and green variegated leaves. This herb will add a citrusy scent and flavor to fish, chicken, and vegetable dishes. Like other Thyme varieties, it grows best in full sun and well-drained soil and is tolerant of heat and drought. Thanks to its essential oils, it is deer-resistant generally pest-free, and may even help to repel mosquitos. Plant in bulk along walkways or as groundcover at the edge of your garden to enhance its beneficial fragrance. This low-growing perennial is also an excellent no-mow lawn alternative for low-traffic areas.
